Hair Ties

My favorite hair ties right now are by Emi Jay.  Two teens designed these ties, and they are seen everywhere right now...  For those of you who can't stop putting your hair in a pony tail everyday (you know who you are) these are for you!  Emi Jay ties are gentle on the hair to avoid breakage.  Oh, i love these ties!

I am seeing reverse ombre everywhere.  In my industry it is also called high glow.  This is lighter color or high lights on top, and a deeper color on the ends.  The more I see it, the more I like it.  I think it is the perfect look for Fall...

Education

Just returned from an advanced education class at Graham Webb Academy.  Again I'm inspired and motivated to continue using all of the knowledge I've been given!  The tool of choice this weekend was the razor...  oh, i love my job!

Hair suggestion...

Don't forget about hot rollers!  They are an easy tool to create body and curl in your hair.  They don't get enough credit...  My personal favorite are the jumbo rollers made by BaByliss, but regardless of the brand, they all deliver amazing results!

Documentary: About Face

You may assume correctly by now that I have a love of documentaries...  I recently watched About Face: Supermodels Then and Now.  It was an informative look at the modeling industry, past and present.  Nearly every one of them interviewed said the thing they loved most was working with such creative people-such as hairdressers and makeup artists!  We are a gifted bunch if I do say so myself...

My favorite headbands right now are what I would call the hippie headband.  Any thin headband that sits on top of the hair as opposed to lying underneath the hair at the neck.  This site has the cutest selection, as well as some other desirable hair accessories...
